Good Morning!!

We had a great weekend! M got a pass and took a three day weekend. We had a couple of his buddies over on Friday night. The rest of the weekend was about us and the boys. We just played video games, watched movies or Ghost Adventures, and spent time together.

Yesterday was mother's day. We called both moms and told them Happy Mother's Day. They got the added bonus of Tank "speaking" Happy Mother's Day as well.

This week is our anniversary, both for dating and marriage. We started dating May 9, 2006 and got married May 12, 2007. Since we live so far from everything, we probably won't go out for our anniversary next weekend. We will probably just have a nice dinner at the house and hang out/spend time together, which is really what we need anyway after being apart just about all of 2010.

We also made the commitment to each other that on and after our anniversary we are going to be healthier. We are going to eat healthier (more fresh fruits, veggies, etc.) and get more exercise. The only bad thing is that the Farmers Market here doesn't open until June. But, we will make do until then.

Heavy Heart

Today, I'm writing this blog post with a heavy heart. There have been so many things that happened in the past few days.

As most of you know, I'm from Alabama. There were 120 tornadoes in Alabama alone last week. A lot of them were directly in the path of my family (both my family and M's family). My in-laws just got power back yesterday. My mother, sisters and dad still do not have power. It could take a few more days for them to get power back.

A whole family was killed in my hometown. The images I've seen on Facebook and the news have broken my heart. It hurts to be away at a time like this, but I think it would hurt more to actually be there. M and I left from block leave the day before the tornadoes happened.

I've lived in the South just about my whole life. I've seen the devastation that tornadoes can bring. Nothing compares to what happened last week.

Please keep Alabama and all of those affected by last weeks tornadoes in your prayers. It will be a while before anything is 'normal' for them.

Also on my heart is our troops. While we had a great victory yesterday, I'm worried that our troops will be in even more danger now. Troops are always on my prayer list, but they will be getting extra prayers.

Update

Hey everyone! I'm sorry about just disappearing. As you all know, M came home from deployment last month. It's hard to believe he's already been home for a month. Anyway, block leave was this month and we took some time away from the internet. We've just been hanging out with family, hanging out by ourselves and hanging out with Tank and Shadow. We got back to our house last night and rested up. We have lots to do today! I will definitely be posting more from now on! I can't wait to read everyone's blogs and get caught up with everyone.

76. I cried when Estelle Getty, Bea Arthur and Rue McClanahan died. (Sophia, Dorothy and Blanche from the Golden Girls respectively!)
77. I have one girl name picked out for when/if we have kids.
78. I only watch the local news when I'm in Alabama. Everybody else's newscast/newspeople are weird to me.
79. I get the chills a lot! Good music, watching something on TV, etc.
80. I think I have a guardian angel.

82. I co-oped (got out of school at 1100, had lunch and went to work for the afternoon) my last two years of high school.
83. I hate clowns!
84. Since I married M, I cry/tear up at the National Anthem.

86. I was born in August. My birthday parties when I was little consisted of family and family friends.
87. I don't separate the clothes when I do the laundry. M does.
88. I love M's hugs. He gives the best ones. That was what I missed most during the deployment.
89. I love thunderstorms! I am from the South!
90. I love rainbows.
91. I have a tattoo of a four leaf clover. I got it on our honeymoon.
92. If I look for clovers, I can usually find one within five minutes.
93. I can only remember dressing up as Punky Brewster for Halloween as a kid.
94. I had 5 shots of Patron one night and I only remember the first two.
95. I am a nosy person. M tells me all the time to quit being so nosy.
96. I sometimes wish I was more of a neat freak. (I'm working on it!)
97. I don't like coffee.
98. I don't like cool whip/whip cream. (Typing that... I heard Stewie from Family Guy saying it. Did anybody else?!?)

51. We planned our wedding in four months. We got married one year and three days after our first date.
52. I make lists when I get stressed.
53. I want to learn more about Greek Mythology.
54. I love the stars. They make me feel small, but part of something bigger than I could ever imagine.
55. I haven't been to the ocean since our honeymoon in 2007.
56. I want to learn a foreign language or two or three.
57. I worked at a vet's office for about three months. I had to quit because my heart was broken and I cried every single day I worked.
58. Sometimes I think way too much!
59. I walked down the aisle barefoot. I WAS NOT PREGNANT!!
60. I did not cry on my wedding day.
61. I love Wizards of Waverly Place.
62. I don't really drink. I am normally the DD when we go out.
63. When I do drink, I like Arbor Mist Blackberry wine and Mikes Black Cherry Lemonade. I'm a cheap drunk! LOL

69. But I hate when people look at my toes. I made the mistake of sending M a picture of my toes painted black while he was deployed. (I told him I was goth!) He sends it to me pretty regularly saying that he's looking at my toes. UGH!
70. Now that M is home, I don't know what to blog about, but I want to keep blogging.

72. I never have my umbrella when it's raining.
73. I'm addicted to Facebook.
74. Dill Pickle chips are my favorite. I would seriously eat the whole bag in one sitting.
75. I've been to two WWE events. (The Rock is way hot in person!)
