SEVEN MONTHS!!!

We are kicking royal butt in this deployment! Today marks seven months that my husband has been deployed. R&R is soon and I will get the hug I've been longing for since this day 7 months ago. Nobody gives me better hugs than my husband!! My Donut of Misery says that we are 59% done with this deployment and only 41% more to go!! WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!

Weekend recap: I had a really great weekend. Friday night, I went and played darts with my in-laws plus my SIL and BIL. We actually played in a dart tournement. It was fun, but what a long night. We got there around 1630 and didn't leave until 0100. It was crazy fun! Saturday, we walked six miles, then did a little running around and watched the Alabama and Auburn games. Sunday, we walked six miles again and then started working on a project for when husband comes home. I had to make him a sign even though it's R&R. He will probably hate me, but whatever!!

Shopping at Kohl's/Birthday

Yesterday, we went to Kohl's to see what the sale was. I ended up getting my R&R clothes and now I just have to pick which outfit I want to wear! Here is what I got:

I got these at Shoe Carnival. Buy 1 Get 1 1/2 off. I love them!!

I'm going to wear this with black leggings and boots. Cute? I'm thinking of wearing it to pick husband up...

Or this dress with the boots? I can't pick!!

 Today is husbands birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE!! I love you!! I picked his birthday presents up yesterday at Kohl's as well. If he doesn't like them, I got new clothes!!

 I love Kohl's and that store will be the death of me one day. They have the cutest Christmas plates, etc. with snowmen on them, but you have to buy them one by one. Too expensive for this girl, but I will be getting some Christmas plates this year. YAY!! I've been wanting them forever!

Again, I have to say...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HUSBAND!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!! I HOPE YOU HAD A GREAT DAY AND I WILL SEE YOU SOON-ISH!!!

I don't think you can tell in pictures, but it's actually a red color.

I LOVE IT!!! My husband wanted fire engine red highlights, but my stylist said that it would probably turn my hair orange and that's not cute. So, I did my whole head red! I've always wanted to be a red head. I may go brighter red the next time so you can really see it!

200 Days!!!

Wow, has it really been 200 days since I've last seen my husband? 200 days since I last got a hug from my husband? 200 days since I last kissed my husband? 200 days since we have slept in the same bed? 200 days since I could call him and talk to him whenever I wanted? 200 days since he played with Tank?

It really has been, and I can't believe it! Soon-ish I will get to see, hold, hug, and kiss my husband. Soon-ish my world will be right for 15 days. Soon-ish my Tank will have his daddy back to play with him. I'm pretty sure that husband is more excited about seeing Tank than he is about seeing me. Either way, I can't wait to see my husband in the flesh!!

I don't really have a bucket list per se, but I would love to visit Hawaii, England, Australia, and Alaska one day!

2. How long have you been a MilSpouse and where have you been stationed so far? (from Raising Roscoe)
I have been an Army Wife for just over three years. We have been stationed at Fort Carson and Fort Drum. I'm hoping for Germany, Korea, Japan, and Hawaii!!

3.What is a list of songs that sums up your life so far? (from Confessions of a Sailor’s Wife)
It's Your Love by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. Then by Brad Paisley. I Believe in You by LeAnn Rimes. Because You Love Me by Joe Dee Messina.. and that's all I can think of at the moment.

4. What is your favorite kind of pizza?
Thin crust. It doesn't matter the toppings because if I don't like it I will take it off.

5. What are three good things in your life right now?
R&R that's coming soon, my health, exercising, eating right, my God, my husband, steady paychecks, my furbabies, my family, etc. etc. etc. I am so, so blessed!!!

Quick Update

Today is such a cool day... 10/10/10. My husband said I was a dork when I told him the date. Anybody that knows him, can't you just 'hear' him saying that?!? I think it's cool, anyway!

I started a new workout. Has anybody done The Wave by The Firm? Holy crap, batman! It's crazy hard because you are working your core the entire workout, but I am loving it!! I'm trying to do a walk/run but my shin/calf has been hurting. I have some compression things to go on my legs, but it didn't help today. I have to make an appointment with the doctor anyway to get my flu shot/mist, so I will talk to her about it when I go.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who commented on my last post about Tank. He is definitely our baby! I think he's the most beautiful and well behaved dog ever, but I could be biased! Tank told me to tell everyone thanks for the birthday wishes as well!!

Happy Birthday Tank!!!

I know it's been a while, but I'm just not in the mood to blog. I think I have too much on my mind at the moment and it's all things that I can't/do not want to share. So... today is my precious boys birthday!! He is 5, we think. For those who don't know the story, we rescued Tank two years ago on 27 October 2008. The longest I have been away from him was this weekend when we went to Chicago. Normally, he goes everywhere with us. I can't imagine life without him.
