2010 and Post #100

2010 can be summed up in just one word: Deployment. At the beginning of 2010, we had almost three months together. Three months that consisted of him packing for deployment, me packing for moving back home, my sisters visit, saying goodbye to my husband, saying goodbye to my house and my belongings, driving 14 hours with 2 moms 2 animals and a Jeep full of stuff!

Saying goodbye :(

May through October consisted of school work, traveling back and forth between houses, the birth of my sweet nephew, moving/traveling to Chicago to visit said nephew and family, camp outs, family gatherings, waiting to talk to my husband, seeing my husband on web cam for the first time, talking to my husband over the phone, paying outrageous phone bills, switching phone companies, counting down to R&R.

October through the beginning of November brought...
First hug in 7 months

Hello Handsome!! :)

Meeting nephew for the first time and drink at 3am!!

Heaven with his boy!

New truck... to us!

Saying goodbye again... :(

The plane that took  him away.
The rest of November and December brought the longest days of this deployment, the holidays (that I'm glad are over!), reintegration news, date ranges, and the end of one of the longest years of my life.

I hope that 2011 brings me closer to my husband, a stronger marriage, an easy reintegration, a fantastic block leave, finding a great house when we PCS, finding an awesome job when we PCS, an easy PCS, a better relationship with God, being a better housewife (laundry, cleaning, etc), being a better blogger, taking more pictures, and enjoying life more! I hope 2011 is your year for whatever you want! Be Blessed!!

Just blogging around and found your blog. I hope your New Year brings you lots of joy. The military life can bring lots of challenges, my husband is 20 years retired Air Force. And now we are reaping the benefits, free prescriptions at an age where we really need it, an extra insurance, and a retirment check that pays our mortgage and electric bill. We used to call themn TDY's , now they call them deployments. My husband was in Italy, Germany, Egypt, Donminican Republic, just to name a few. So hang in there, there really is a rainbow at the end of the trail.

So, I'm finally catching up. I've been so bad lately in the blogging community! 0:) What a year you two have had! I pray that the final days of the deployment fly by for you two. Good luck with the PCS, too! I'm sure you've got plenty of support surrounding you, but if you need any help, I'm here! We just made our 5th move with the Army...gotta love it. :)
