We are now 100 days into this deployment! I truly cannot believe how quickly time is flying by and I'm definitely not complaining about that. I know that this weekend is going to fly by. We are taking my brother-in-law and his family up to Chicago. They had to transfer for his job. I'm excited about going, but I wish we had more time to see the 'sights.' I have been working out everyday, and I have added a 30 minute walk into my fitness program. I can feel myself getting stronger and I'm starting to see definition in some places. I'm so excited to see my husband when he comes home for R&R. Anyway, back to 100 days. It's been 100 days since I've hugged my husband. He gives the best hug and it's what I'm looking forward to the most when I see him for R&R. I still can't believe it's been 100 days!
On top of 100 days, we had a GREAT thing happen!! MY HUSBAND GOT PROMOTED!!!!! After his brigade tried to take it away from him four times in the last month since he made points, he got pinned this morning for him/last night for us. I am so proud of him! He deserves it after all of the hard work he has done. The only thing I regret about it... I wasn't there to watch the ceremony. I will have to see it in pictures, and hopefully somebody got a video of it! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
I will probably not be posting this weekend as we will not be in town. So I hope every one has a safe, fun-filled weekend!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!!
